This database, maintained by NIMBUS (Network of Independent Media for Better Understanding and Support) documents events and instances relevant to freedom of expression and freedom of assembly in Singapore.
We started tracking in December 2024.

The default view lists all instances; there are already some preset views available.
Not everything documented in this database is a negative instance of censorship or repression—we also want to document instances of organising, activism and solidarity in defence of freedom of expression and assembly.
This database is not comprehensive—there are likely more instances (positive or negative) relevant to freedom of expression and assembly that have not been documented for a variety of reasons: not known to NIMBUS, not been reported in the media, lack of consent for it to be documented so publicly, etc. If you know of something that you think should be documented, please get in touch using the button below:
